Sinopsis

Instrumentos de investigación científica: diseño, validación e implementación ofrece una guía integral para comprender, construir, aplicar y evaluar instrumentos destinados a la producción de datos científicos. La obra parte de los fundamentos epistemológicos de la medición y explica la relación entre realidad, constructo, variable, dimensión, indicador e ítem, con atención a los supuestos teóricos que orientan cada decisión metodológica.

El contenido desarrolla los niveles de medición, los paradigmas de investigación, las fuentes de error, la confiabilidad y las distintas evidencias de validez. A partir de esta base, presenta procedimientos para delimitar constructos, establecer dimensiones, formular indicadores, elaborar tablas de especificaciones, redactar ítems, seleccionar escalas de respuesta y someter los instrumentos a revisión lingüística, juicio de expertos, prueba cognitiva, pilotaje y validación estadística.

La propuesta incorpora los protocolos DCOI y PCUI para organizar la arquitectura conceptual y la construcción técnica del instrumento. También incluye orientaciones adaptadas a diferentes campos del conocimiento y examina las condiciones teóricas, culturales, poblacionales y operativas que determinan la pertinencia de una herramienta de investigación.

En su etapa final, el libro aborda los errores frecuentes que pueden comprometer la calidad científica de los instrumentos y presenta la Matriz de Coherencia Constructo-Dimensión-Ítem y el Checklist CADI como recursos para revisar la consistencia, la documentación y la trazabilidad del proceso. El propósito central es favorecer la elaboración de instrumentos rigurosos, transparentes, pertinentes y susceptibles de evaluación y replicación por la comunidad científica.
